Ashton Realty was incorporated in 1996 by Joe Bonsall a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker. Joe received his Florida Real Estate License in 1982 and his Florida Real Estate Brokers license in 1988. Joe's first 8 years in real estate was primarily on Siesta Key residential and condominium sales & listings and in property located in the Gulf Area of Sarasota County including Lido Key, Longboat Key, Siesta Key waterfront, Golf Course and Country Club properties continuing with condominium and other residential properties. by having his own office Joe has more flexibility in working with buyers & sellers on a more personal bases. Joe also holds a Florida Mortgage Brokers License and a Florida Community Association License (CAM). Joe was the property manager of a local condominium association for several years, so is very knowledgeable in homeowner association documents and regulations. Joe's wife, Jeanne also holds a Florida Real Estate License and a Community Association Mangers License and helps in the Ashton Realty Office with sales and listings.
Susan Carter has recently joined the team at Ashton Realty, INC. Susan began her real estate career in Syracuse, New York in 1984. She was known as the Country Specialist, and was top agent for her area. While vacationing with her daughter, Jenna, in 1994 she fell in love with Sarasota. By 1995 Susan had her Florida real estate license and was specializing in new home sales. For more than eleven years Susan and her family have been residents of Ashton Lakes. Susan plans to focus on working close to home including Strathmore Riverside Villas, where her parents reside.
